1  Self Improvement / Health & Wellbeing / Re: Raw Food Diet on: February 23, 2012, 09:02:36 AM
Raw foods are a little harder to digest which is one of the reasons it is good for you. It takes longer to digest so the hunger doesn't return as quickly as it would with the partially digested (processed) foods. If you really cannot eat raw foods then I suggest you have a look at getting some Whole Food Supplements such as Carotenoid Complex, Cruciferous Plus and Flavonoid Complex as they contain all the fruits and vegetable nutrients that you need. Of course they do not contain fibre which is also an essential part of anyones diet.

Surely it would be better to see how to be healthy and not buy processed foods no matter how they are treated, they aren't good for you.

You are on a diet ALL the time! You choose whether or not it is healthy. I eat mostly raw fruits, breakfast, and salads, lunch, but have a cooked meal in the evenings with four or five veggies, usually fish and the more oily the better wild salmon, farmed Salmon is fed synthetic Astazanthin to make it the nice pink color, trout, mackerel, sardines, pilchards, herring, kipper, eel and whitebait. Fresh tuna is but canned isn't.
You should eat oily fish when you're pregnant or breastfeeding because this could help your baby's development.
Women who arenít going to get pregnant in the future, boys and men can eat up to four portions a week, which I do and also supplement with Omega 3 Plus, which actually contains 8 Omega 3's, the only fish oil supplement available that does, from www.healthyanswers.co.uk
Limit the amount of fish you eat because they can contain dioxins and PCBs. They are pollutants found in fish. Omega 3 Plus is tested for over 300 pollutants and all are removed guaranteeing 100% purity.
4  General / What Works, What Doesn't / Re: What do you do when someone likes you only for their personal benefit? on: January 04, 2012, 10:12:59 PM
That is the truth in most of the cases. What do you do about it?
How do you know they only like you for what they can get? We cannot see inside their heads to know why they appear to like us and of course we assume (that makes an ass of u and me)!
No good asking them though as if they do only like you for what you can do for them they will not tell you that will they. Like them for who they are and you will be a better person because of that.
5  Self Improvement / Health & Wellbeing / Re: Do You Think It Matters What You Think Or Believe? on: January 04, 2012, 10:06:06 PM
I dont think that rich men are kind and generous but I think sometimes there are ones who are just like that maybe..
where  mine beliefs come from?

I dont know it just comes with a life! Smiley
How many poor people are kind and generous, probably none as they can't afford to be. So kindness and generosity has to come from the wealthy and as Mr Wattles says in his excellent book "The best thing we can do for poor people is to not be one of them"!

It is so good I bought a copy so I can watch it over and over. You can see a preview here and then purchase a copy of the full video at

http://www.yogabodynaturals.com/food-matters-film
you owe it to yourself to at least see the trailer it just might convince you!

Pleased to hear that at least one person was interested enough to watch it. My time wasn't completely wasted. Strange how most people do not want to be healthy until they aren't, then they want a magic pill to restore it for them.

Another reason to change her then!

Oh dear you do have a problem, I guess you will have to get a wife that will milk the cow then! HaHa! Or even worse do it yourself!

Suppose the answer is obvious then! No Mickelobs, no heartburn, no need for milk!
Again if it is needed raw milk would be so much better for you and probably ease the heartburn in less time!

I thought so too and I enjoyed our discourse, perhaps we can pick up on another subject another time.
Ah, something for the taste buds, I'm sure it is much more healthy than any of the proprietary brands of soft drinks. It's drawback might be that to much of it makes you feel so good that you fall over.

We could start again over milk! As the only healthy milk is raw unpasturised, the stuff you get from plastic bottles is probably about as healthy as the container!!!

I don't know what a Mickelob is so you have me at a disadvantage there, hopefully it is a healthy alternative!
They are usually more than economical with the truth. I agree the best way to do messages is to record your own that way you know what is being said and it should be something you want to hear.

Once again the placebo effect just might come into play here, but most of the thinking behind any program of this nature requires the power of positive thought to go with it.

Seems we finally agree with each other. lol!

That may very well be correct, but then your belief is that they don't work and where does that come from?
I quite agree that someone selling the sound of the sea claiming there is a message in there and there isn't is immoral, but once again if the message is subliminal how do you know it's not there?

It really does come down to what you believe and whether you believe it works or not is immaterial as the big companies continue to advertise, which is effectively subliminal messaging as the ad gets stuck in your subconcious and when you are shopping for, lets say a diet drink, one of the first that springs to mind is Coke! Because of their ongoing advertising, as their ad is little more than blatant lying then surely that should be illegal too.

When people go to get the machine that helps clean their house by the means of suction they invariably say "I'm going to Hoover", not I am going to vaccuum! Again advertising and subliminal messaging at work.

My understanding is that the US military used them to great effect but once they became a commercial proposition and used in the media they were banned. How do we know that politicians do not use them? They need something to convince us they are doing a good job. There are a lot of people who do believe they work and of course that is a big business in it's own right! So I guess they do work even if it is only to generate an income for the maker of them, I do agree there is a large possibility that it may well depend on your belief and much like the placebo, there may be nothing in it except the belief of the recipient!
If, by whatever means, a persons life is improved because of them then how can we say that they do not work.  Perhaps it also has something to do with the "promise" made by the programmer and the expectations of the subject.
